“ My husband and I dropped by Just George's Sports Bar one Saturday evening. It was bustling, but we managed to snag a booth without any hassle. Our waitress was a gem--attentive, patient, and lightning-fast. We ordered a feast: half a pound of steamed shrimp, the Big Texan, and fish and chips. The food arrived promptly, and let me tell you, it was a seafood lover's dream. The shrimp were plump and fresh, leaving us craving more. The Big Texan was a flavor explosion, perfectly cooked and oh-so-satisfying. And the fish and chips? Absolutely delightful--the fries were crispy, and the fish was bursting with flavor. The portions were generous, and we left feeling satisfied but not stuffed to the brim. Highly recommend this spot for a delicious meal without the post-feast guilt! ”
“ I went ti this restaurant for a friend's birthday party. I had the crab cake sandwich. The foods are the same high quality as the Captain George's restaurant. You can even get the all you can eat selection as with the George's restaurant. This is a popular sports bar during football season. There are many screens in the restaurant. It would be nice if some screens were bigger. I highly recommend the food. ”
“ I am loving this Sports Bar atmosphere. It kind of puts your mind on a cruise ship - like a restaurant on a cruise ship/arena - IDK, I just love the set up. TV's are everywhere. The bar is sexy! It's not a full U shape, but it's a good size. Plenty of seating and airy! If you choose to dine from the menu you can or you can order the buffet (next door) from Captain George's. I am not a fan of buffet's, so when I ventured out with my husbae and friends, I opted to order from the menu. I ordered a simple salad and the scallops for my meal with two sides. My meal was so good! The scallops were not free of grit, but it was limited. I would order the meal again. But my favorite part of the restaurant, is the atmosphere. I noticed sound boxes at the booths. We sat at tables in the center and I do not believe sound boxes are portable for those tables. The vibe was still cool! Usually checking out sports or anything on TV, no sound is really needed. If sound is needed, you would go to a quieter place, right?! Nevertheless, the waitstaff and bartender were on point throughout the night. This was a Wednesday night and it was still a pretty good crowd out. Surprisingly, but it was a good time and the waitstaff did not miss a beat! Check them out if you are in the area. Especially if you like an upscale bar atmosphere type vibe... this is your spot. Happy Hour specials on drinks and food are featured daily. I cannot wait to visit again :) Be safe ~ have fun ~ enjoy life :) ”
“ Just George's is a bar attached to Captain George's restaurant. As an avid seafood lover yet my husband is an avid, 'avoid eating anything that comes from the water person,' we compromise by going to Just George's. I'm able to get my seafood fill, and he can order off the menu. He typically orders a burger or a steak, salad, and fries. I always eat seafood cause that's what George specializes in! Of course we always enjoy a libation or two. Sometimes there are beer specials, and that's what we typically go for. We love sitting at the booths because they all have a little tv that you can watch the games that are playing on! So that's an extra plus for him cause I take forever eating crab due to cracking the shells, picking out all the meat, dipping in butter, etc sometimes around two hrs or so. He only takes about ten minutes total to eat his meal because he's a fast eater. So once he's done eating he watches the tv at our booth and sometimes he watches the big TVs that are places all around the bar. It's a perfect compromise for us! Every time I try his food I'm pretty impressed with the quality seeing that there is only one kitchen running a huge buffet as well as a whole menu worth of items. Burger is always juicy, and the steak is cooked to his liking which is medium. Fries are always hot and crispy and lightly seasoned, and every time I eat at the buffet it's always hot and fresh and soooo delicious!!! Im always in seafood heaven when we go! One of the best buffets around Hampton roads area for sure in my opinion. If you have a group of people that love seafood but some people aren't a fan, take them to Just George's where everyone can go and be incredibly satisfied. ”
